TIMOTHY RADCLIFFE -
Author of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent book for 2009.

A charismatic spiritual leader, Timothy Radcliffe has become renowned as a speaker and prize-winning author with a constantly fresh, surprising message.

To launch the Diocesan programme Fully Alive, we were delighted to welcome Timothy as he talked on Christian discipleship throughout Lent 2009. His visit began and ended with ‘stand-alone’ talks in Salisbury Cathedral. He spoke about living fully as a Christian in 3 different centres each week – St John’s Church Devizes, Salisbury Cathedral, and St. Mary’s Dorchester.

His addresses formed the first phase of the project. The second phase included consultations with clergy, sixth-form pupils and others, and resulted in the production of three six-week courses. More details here.

The later phases of Fully Alive will move out in ever wider circles, with less direction from the centre and more development from parishes.
